Wow. I've seen a few deer skulls on fence posts, and have heard of putting coyote carcasses on them, too (shudder),but never catfish. That's a new on one me!
I'm so sorry you're sick, tweety! What a weird, cruel illness to have, too. I can only relate a little bit; back in my twenties, I had surgery which required my jaw to be wired shut for 3 months. Now, I LOVE food, so only being able to ingest liquids was incredibly frustrating. Did learn that...
You'd get 100% blue chicks.
I've got a blue barred Marans hen I can't wait to use to make dark egg sex links next year.
If you can ignore the other languages and just focus on the English, it's not too bad. Here is your criteria plugged into the calculator...
MarximuxMG!! Glad to have you. Not sure where Rose Hill is, but I'm down in Lacygne. I don't talk much on this thread, but try to at least read now and then to keep up. It's hard, though; this thread moves FAST!
Wichitakid, better to keep the younger birds on a non-layer feed. The layer has too much calcium which could potentially damage their kidneys. In the past, before I knew better, I put young birds on the layer and didn't have any problems, but wouldn't do it again.
Ivy, on not being able to get up onto a horse, that's what mounting blocks are for!! I haven't mounted from the ground in YEARS. The horse I ride is probably 16 hands, and even though I'm tall, I couldn't get up on him anymore. You CAN ride, just use something to help you get up there
I'm not sure yet . I've got 2 5 week Lavender Ameraucana chicks from eggs I bought from Nancy Geary (Bargain). One looks to be a male, and I'm still uncertain on the other one. If it's a pair, I'll likely keep them. If both are boys, well, they will be leaving. But I won't know for a month or...
Danz, I can believe your vet told you to give the acetominophen. On occasion, we will get a client in who's given acetominophen (Tylenol) at the advice of their vet. In one of the drug books, there actually is a dose for dogs , and the safety margin is a bit wider (150-600 mg/kg for hepatic...
Josie, yea, I'm a tech at a large clinic up in OP. Where does your DH work? Isn't it a small, small world?
Oh, and I also used to work as a dog groomer (in another lifetime!). Talk about a hard, hard job!!
And before all of that, I did a brief stint cleaning stalls, turning out, etc, at my...
Chicken Danz,
Here is the formula for Ibuprofen toxicity
Take Marshmallow's weight in lbs and divide that by 2.2 This will give you her weight in kgs.
To find out how many mg per kg of ibuprofen she ingested:
Take the total mg given and divide that by her weight in kg (mg / kg = mg per...
Ibuprofen and acetominophen are toxic to dogs. If you only gave 1 or 2 you may be ok, but just to be sure, how many mg did you give her? I can look it up if you give me that and her weight.
I no longer have my own horse; had a thoroughbred back in my teens and early twenties. I ride several times a year now on my neighbor's horse. She's wonderful and lets me ride pretty much whenever. He's a big draft/foxtrotter gelding that I just love. I have back issues so don't ride as often as...
Ivy, it's possible Marshmallow's surgery got pushed back for some reason. But if you're worried, call them. Clients call us all the time to check on their pets.
Holy cow, this thread moves fast!
Lovely first egg, Karen! Good work on the coop Pikeman, and oh, that bite sounds painful, Trish! Was it a brown recluse?
Oh, and congrats on the broody and baby, crap, can't remember who it was now? Sorry, but cute baby!
