I haven't this year, but yes, I have used it for molting birds. I usually mix it with Flockraiser. It's great for extra protein.

A male with the blue egg gene, mated to a brown laying hen will give green eggs. No blue, unless the hen is a mix and carries blue recessive.

Yup. My mutts are my best layers of all, they even beat hatchery birds. I would say they are average sized. Mine are smaller than an Orpington, but larger than my Welsummers.
