Ron's advice is spot-on. I have a misting system thanks to him. I also got a small round rubber feed trough - I fill it halfway with water & place frozen gallon-sized water jugs in each hot morning. The birds will wade right in & cool off.

Cool! I was thinking that it looked like an olive egg with a dark brown wash over it but that's just a wild guess. Glad to hear that you have some more UofA blues. :)

Ron, Do you have a timer that comes on multiple times a day? If so, what kind is it? Im have a beast of a time finding one that i can get to come on, say, every other hour starting at 11sm to 7pm. Something with multiple start times for 1 zone.

Meet the latest addition to "The Island of Misfit Chickens": Marty Feldman It is a midget white turkey poult hatched yesterday. It seems to be blind in addition to the bulging eyes (a genetic deformity). Here's a comparison pic: I plan to gove it a forever home as long as its not suffering.
