Very very interesting! Thanks.
I have a few chicks right now that I hatched. All were from a blue AM [who was sexed a girl!] cockerel. [His AM sisters BTW, lay a nice blue egg, no green tones, but medium in depth of color.]
One hen was a barred rock and one an australorp, both lay...
Here's some basic info on false advertising laws, which is what hatcheries do when they sell a mixed bird as an Ameraucana:
Private parties, such as consumers or competitors, can file a complaint for false advertising under the Lanham Act. To establish a violation under the Lanham Act...
I am confused how this will be any different from the very popular EE Braggers thread.
I don't think it should be called "the ameraucana thread..." either. Not from any elitist position but from a position that that will confuse the issue more.
You are creating another EE thread.

Yes, all things Ameraucana, as per the ABC site's definition. Those birds that do not fit in the breed's definition of Ameraucana can be discussed on other threads. Not that they're not nice birds perhaps, just this isn't their thread.

Thank you, both. You made me feel better. Yes, waiting a year for eggs is torture! And .... I'm about to tell you something SO odd it's hard for me to even believe it.
This morning when I wrote here, I was near the point of thinking it might never happen.
Below is what greeted me when...
So, I have two pure AM pullets, one blue one splash, who are now about ~ 9 1/2 months old. They are lovely and sweet. The splash is so affectionate.
Everything is wonderful except I have not had one egg yet!! All my other girls and even my silkies I hatched in July have laid eggs.
I...
