I had four of my 'black ameraucanas' hatch today I say that because all the possible parents should be one hundred percent black but I got what look to be two blues
I have 21 black ameraucana eggs and 4 lav split eggs on day 7 in my bator. And i just put 8 more black Ameraucana eggs and 6 lav splits in the bator last night
that may be true but I crossed a silkie with an EE and git a hen with black skin, slate legs, clean legs, muffs and beardbeard, so could that a. That that silkie had only one copy?
sadly those are not pure ameraucanas, they are easter eggers which can lay pretty much any color egg and grow up to be nearly any color imaginable because they are mixed breeds, easter eggers almost always grow up to be pretty chickens though
