First ones cockerel last ones hen... Look at the features, not the colors.

first picture is a cockerel, last picture is a hen. last one is a hen because chest sticks out roundish out like a hens chest. i have used this method with chicks that age with no false positives. these are NOT my pictures! her are examples: hen rooster

Awwww. no lav female seramas? the black hen comes from parents that come from all colors. i don't even think her chicks would be black?

im not great with genetics... serama is the black one, amera is the lav first serama egg!

i don't mean to be rude, but why do you guys not like crossbreeds? i'm very impressed that you guys know so much about genetics and stuff... but haven't you ever just had two kinds of chicken, and say "I'm going to cross these!" i am getting fertile eggs with my serama and a Bantam lavender...

beard was bit off by a female Serama! Beard, Saddle, and head feathers... beard is taking a while to grow back though! and he starting mating with the very serama that did that to him!
