We had Buckeyes here in southeast Arkansas. Still have one older male. Temps reached 115 a few days and he had no issues. We offered shade and plenty of water.
Many Buckeyes have now went on from Best of Breed to win Champion American Class and even Reserve and Best of Show at some shows. Thus, champion lines.
Atwoods Farm and ranch opened this morning in Monticello, Arkansas. They had Buckeye pullets from Ideal! Not the best quality line, but was nice to see them there. Lots of poultry supplies too!
