Sure looks like a splash to me; I have gotten a lot of splash this year and that right there is what they look like. I have three beautiful double tufted splash and a few perfect double tufted chicks out of the AOV pen but not a single tufted blue or black - those have all been clean faced...
Oh Lanae - it's just awful - so sad to loose chickens that way. I have gotten so many phone calls lately from people who bought chicks from me in the first months of chick season and have lost all or nearly all of their babies to predators these past couple of weeks. Before our dogs it was so...
I hope that no one minds me posting this here - it IS Araucana related in that we have enough trouble keeping these darned birds alive without the added stress of predators.......
Callie killed another Raccoon last night - by golly I love this dog! If I could take out a billboard praising...

Now that's not nice! I made myself promise myself no more shipped Araucana eggs; I have had such wretched hatch rates out of them. You're chicks are so, so , so , so lovely!!!!!!! I hope the auction goes very well for you.
Seriously though - if these were normal hatch rates and tuft rates, then Araucanas would be one of the most popular breeds out there. They have so much going for them and then you "hit the wall" of their miserable fertility issues and that's where so many people give up.
That's just such an...
