I just thought I would share a picture of my porcelain boy Chris. He did his dance to me so I guess that means he me!!!! He is from Catdance. And he is so wonderful . Also got a beautiful pullet from her too. Just love them to pieces.
I am in NC. I wont be hatching anymore for the year. I hate seeing those potential chicks go to waste. I have 3 paint hens over black roo. Paints don't breed true but out of 12 chicks I got 4 blue/black and rest paints. They just got off being broody for past 3weeks so should be laying soon.
I have a friend whose hen started crowing the day after they butchered the rooster. :gig AND, one of our silkie chicks did the same thing when we re-homed a crowing cockerel (3 months ago). Whoever it was only crowed that one morning until BB (Bullet) crowed last week. Then s/he has only...
I your sizzle. I have tried twice now to get a sizzle(has to be girl with space and ration numbers) and yet to succeed. Got one it was a boy and have two frilkies.
Similiar but behind the wing mine did not have.that gray/blue coloring. I am not sure if I took pictures of them as a chick. They are about 7 weeks now, but I can take a picture for you. Their coloring is starting to change. Some little darker than others but all have the grayish/blue/lavendar...
I am.already rechecking. Can you say paranoid! So far haven't seen anything. I don't check all just grab one out of each pen. Didn't get to the coops it was getting late so that's first on the list this morning.
I just got done dusting all silkies and the polish that are next to them. I saw none on the polish. I will be heading back out to rake out the coops and runs; then spray them down, fresh bedding and retreat in 2 weeks.
So I found my.first case of mites on one of my new silkies. While I ran to town to get some flea and tick shampoo; I put some sieving dust on her vent where I.found them and some under her wings. I gave her the bathe. Sprinkled some sevin in the coop. Here is my question should I bathe the other...
I wonder why Elvis has tried to mate with Patunia if there is a better chance of this one being a boy? S/he is 6 months old. When I look at them this one looks fuller than the lighter color one. I can try to take better pictures. Doesnt matter I need a nice boy anyway.
I just took a few...
I wanted to post some pictures of my breeding paints. I am so lucky to have gotten these and thanks to Hawkeye for helping me not miss such a great bunch
I have 3 paint girls over one black roo.
This is Elvis. I almost passed on him but when Hawkeye saw his picture and was and got him. And it...
No picking at all. A lesson learned the hard way. Bad thing is I found them on here. Wish there was a way to warn against this. Hawkeye has been helping a lot with this issue. She has been a blessing :).
Oh he is not mine. It is up for sale and the breeder sent me this picture of him. I am going to pass on this one though. She does have nice birds. I am working on picking some up.. How am I going to explain that to my DH. He is already complaining.
