@RubyNala97 is in NY, breeds Paint and is NPIP... she's not on BYC much anymore, but has a FB page... I can look it up later if you'd like... she has great stock and is wonderful to deal with...
Lol!! She looks so much like mine! :D
Oh, that is adorable! Many of mine, even in different breeds will mentor and big sister the younger sets, I love it!
So glad you got a nice black... :D
Will have to see what I can do... I moved them temporarily as a predator got into their coop and killed my best splash hen just when she went broody... need to move them back and the commotion has them laying very sporadic right now... my main flock is a black over mostly blues and blacks and 1...
Partridge is a pattern, gold or silver is the color base... similar to duckwing, that's the pattern but it can be gold or silver...
Most common color base is gold in the partridge so it's just usually called partridge...
Either way is fine... reason being as full siblings (from same roo and same hen) will share 100% of the same DNA... daughter to father, or son to mother they only share 50% of the same DNA...
I have Paints now, out of Ruby's flock in NY... cockerel is Paint along with 2 pullets, and 2 blacks...
:love Looks like 1 splash, other light one may be dark splash or light blue... medium blue, 2 dark blues, a black and either a really dark blue or a black... betting you've got girls in there, lol... :)
X2!!
I have a gorgeous little paint cockerel and a white split to paint pullet... the pullet has pink spots on her toes and comb, but she's still a pretty little Silkie... :)
I know it's not black, was showing the chick down patterns as an example... blues are a dilute of black and splash is double dilute, so they show same down patterns... replace the back parts with blue or light blue and that is why yours shows so much yellow, like the far right chick in the pic...
