Mine do that too... I thought they were being mean at first but it kept happening and not with the same hen so I watched closely and realized what was going on and stopped interfering.
IMHO no medicated feed. after 2 weeks of age. Some don't feed it at all but in my experiences up to 2 weeks...

some are loud some are not. different strokes for different Roo's. And ya wont know till ya hear them.
I have never showed but I would think the tamer the better cause the judges handle them I'm pretty sure. Plus taking them in and out of the cages, you don't want them fighting you and getting away, and with all the people that walk around to look at them if they aren't tame they would be...
Very!! The only thing I have found they have a problem with is duck goose and Turkey and Pea's. The bigger the egg the less you can get under them, and Mine wont even try the goose or Pea eggs and it makes sense... they cant sit on those boulders... lol

none of my Silkies laid before 6 mths of age, I had some go broody almost right away, some waited a mth or so, some were a yr before they went broody. but once they start........... O boy look out, I've been trying to break one all week and now I have another starting .
