Here's that same little Dominiuque X white Chantecler one day old.
Here she is again at 3 days old.
And here she is at 10 days old. She is a real beauty.
for the curious, this is my white Chantecler broody who is finishing up her 2nd hatch for this summer. All the yellow chicks bred from the Chantecler daddy have been sold, these little ones are mutts, the cross between her and a Dominique. 2 of them look like daddy, dark colored and stripes...
I would love to get back to just Dominiques again. No sense getting rid of what I have right not tho, they all lay well and I have one wonderful broody who has given me 2 broods this year. Not complaining.
Ive had SOME Doms, sold off all but one, the smallest who was also the sweetest and she was killed at 1 year old. I'd like to get some again and keep it to just plan Doms, no other breeds. Can anybody recommend anyone who has some quality birds I could buy some eggs from?? I have the small...
good to know, thanks everyone for your responses. I love the Breed, they are the sweetest I've owned yet and I've had 7 different types here. Would like to raise some more, I kept one roostrer and one pullet from the bunch I ordered from Cackle Hatchery. Been very p[leased with their...
question about Dominiques eggs...do they ever get bigger?? My pullet is laying very small ones and I'n wondering if they will get any bigger as she grows up?? She is my sweetest hen, I'd love to have ALL doms, but if their eggs remain this small I don't think customers will want to pay the...

I did it, ordered Dominiques!! They arrived last friday April 6th. Granddaughter was here to help me bring the shipment from the post office home and get them in a tote and started drinking water!! Oh the cutest things ever, but one is having an issue with pasty butt, luckily Ive spotted it...
I don't have Any Dominiques at ALL, but from everything Ive been reading I'd like to get some. who can point me to a decent breeder where I can get half a dozen??
Presently I do have some Ply. Barred Rocks and they are a very nice bird, Im not afraid of the grandchildren being hurt by them...

DE doesn't have any effect on internal parasites.
Chris
As matter of principle, I do not like to agree with Chris, although the use of DE to control internal parasites is not supported by any studies I have seen.
