    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I just looked up Okeechobee, and it is almost 3 hours from me, so that is a bit far. I will be happy to help coordinate one, but a bit closer.

I have had three in St.Pete, and the last two had good attendance. I am thinking about having another one in the fall, but I need to figure out a new location, as my backyard now has a pool in it. I don't think there is enough room now. I do have another property I might use.

One thing I know, chickens DO NOT like change. I would also make sure you have plenty of ventilation in the new enclosed roost, especially since they are used to sleeping in a more open area. Chickens have a hard time with the summer heat, so they may just be finding the coolest areas.

I knew you wouldn't stick with just 5!!Congrats on the baby-to-be, in case I didn't tell you that already. A friend of mine has three lovely hens to re-home due to moving: A Buff Brahma, a Barred Rock, and a Production Red. They are in St.Pete. Let me know if anyone is interested. Wasn't there...

I have Rouen hatching eggs, but I am in Pinellas. I may need to head to a swap closer to you soon, as I think I have at least one more rooster to find a home for. A White Leghorn x Ameracauna mix. All white, bearded, if anyone is interested. Let me know if you want to set something up for the...

Why wouldn't they be EE's? They have Auracana mixed in, so they should lay blue/ green eggs. EE's are just muts with the blue egg gene, right?

I may be bringing a BCM hen. She is about a year old, but hasn't been laying much in the heat. m MyTDogs, I just sell kind of under the table to co-workers, friends and family, and to a few customers I met at swaps. I don't advertise anywhere or anything, and I barely keep up. And yes, I'm...

There is also Spring Hill Heritage Poultry. I have two of thier Buckeyes and one Russian Orloff. The Buckeyes are awesome. The Orloff is pretty. Beautiful puppies, Missie! Did any of the ones from me hatch? The yellow one looks like a Basque.

I posted a few weeks ago that the St.Pete City Council would be voting on the chicken law tomorrow at 3pm, but unfortunately they are apparently not going to get to that topic. I will let you know when they do decide to vote on it. Please pass this around! I would hate for anyone to show up...

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I integrated ducks into my flock after the chickens were a year to two years old, and they are all housed together in a large aviary. I solved the water problem by putting the chicken waterer up in the roost area (NOT under the roost bars), so the chickens can walk up the ramp to it, but the...

Yes, I am like the "scout' for drug dealers, only I help people get their chicken fix instead of drugs in the Bay area. Shoot me a PM. I actually just ordered a bunch of eggs, and have a few to spare of some leghorn/ameraucana mixes that should be neat. I also have duck hatching eggs, and can...

I'm confused. I thought it was already legal to have 5 hens in Tampa? Have you been a CHICKEN OUTLAW this whole time, Juan!? And I aided and abetted you? ;)

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

So sorry to hear that, Maye. She sounds like she was a very special horse. I've got an itch I gotta scratch! A hatching itch. Anyone got Brahma eggs around Tampa Bay? Let me know. On May 10th my friend Josh will be attending a hearing at the St.Pete City Council that will involve a vote to...

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

What did they tell you about the hens? They just passed the law that chickens are legal in unincoorporated Pinellas, which I'm pretty sure includes you. I can see being told to get rid of the rooster. I do know that if someone complains in St.Pete, they can make you get rid of them, but if they...
