Pictures for @MeepBeep Your Legbars are starting to lay! Here is some pics to show you how different they are. There is another rooster, but he is camera shy. LOL
Quick question...are they predisposed to burying their eggs? I have to go on an excavation dig sometimes to make sure I have...
Now that I am working full time, it's hard to kero a good eye on them all as well aa a bb gun teady to shoot at predators.
I havent even seen @Meepbeep in months!
Sorry to bump this, but I wanted to make sure no one here on the Illinois page didn't miss out. I will post on the other forums if no one is near there. Brewery grains are so awesome as a feed supplement I wanted to be sure.
Sorry for your loss. :( I had the exact same thing happen here in the spring. So sad. :( I put a big chunk of concrete in the water tub so hopefully any future babies can cllimb back out.
I had a bummer year with corn last year too. We planted 250 "non GMO", soaked them too, and only 12 came up. The largest ear was only as long as my hand everything else was small or nonexistent
This year I have a great crop of grass growing. Not sure how but 1/4 of the plot was drenched with...
I just came in from locking up my birds. Once my flashlight landed on the chick waterer, they came booking out from the mama's and crowded around drinking like crazy. I had to wait until they were all done. The older girls were panting away. I wish I could leave them outside (or at least...
Thanks @MeepBeep @jerseyridgearts & @Faraday40
I ended up calling the company and found it in stock at "Big R" in McHenry, which is way closer than F&F. (At least it seems closer)
Morning all!
I was looking for Corid my area (60046) my local feed store doesn't carry it and the rep hasn't gotten back to me yet.
I will be traveling southwards today near Dupage county (northern end) if there are any places there too.
Where do you purchase it from?
I saw a JULIE truck scooting about the Drury/Shorewood area today. Did they come and mark yet?
Also, I took the older babies I got from you out for a romp in the yard today too. They are really mild mannered compared to some of the other babies I have brooded.
Let me know when you have...
Dang! I only live like a mile from you too. I just got rid of that loud-mouth rooster too. The neighbor actively shoots them, but they leave early and come home late.
You have your hands full, no worries here. Mine is super low tech compared to yours, but those coolers are cheap enough to make another better one later on.
Thanks for letting me know about them!
