How beautiful! [/quote Thank you! Spartan is the dad of all the chicks (recently won reserve single comb clean legged) at the last show I took him too, so I hope his chicks are just as nice.

Family photo tonight of Spartan, Ash and my girl Rain who is now a very determined broody. I should have plenty of Serama chicks running around by the end of this month, lol.

Yes, but that is not a major fault, not having enough points on the comb. Notice how he has 1 point on the comb wich splits into 2? I'm not sure how big of a point deduction that is, but it's not desirable.

I LOVE his coloring!!! We would need pictures of him standing on a flat surface to be able to really tell if he is SQ, but the only fault I can really see right now is his comb.

Yes, if you could post better pictures and more recent pictures of him we could definitely give you an idea as to how he'd confirmation wise. He sure is handsome though!

Thanks! Yes at fair the fair comitee gathers up yogurt cups all through the year and they use them as feed and water cups for birds. For the big LF they use sometimes butter containers and bigger yogurt cups. It works great!!

I think your guess is about correct. Some look to be 1-1/2 months old. Where did you get them from?

He's gorgeous! He actually looks a little like my boy Trojan... I'll have to post updated pictures of him tomorrow. He's going to county fair next week so he'll be getting a bath Friday.

Well I weighed my little girl last night... She's a micro. I sure hope I don't have to deal with any health problems that micros suffer from, she's by far my favorite and sweetest bird. Here is a non-blurry picture.

Not sure if anybody remembers her, but this is the girl Rain I had to help hatch back in March. She hatched out from BHep's eggs, she's a class A, and just started laying last week. She's also my friendliest girl. Her only problem is her white earlobes but that's ok for Table Top.

Thanks, I have been handling him every night so he is used to people. He's such a friendly guy. As long as his condition stays good then I think he'll do ok. I recently measured his two main sickles and they are just a little over 10 1/2 inches.

How does one prep a Serama for a caged show, not table top? I'm taking mine to county fair on the 12th. My male poses but gets lazy. Does anyone have any tips to make him stand good?

How do you get your roo's to stand correctly? I was gently pinching wattles to get them to stand, but that only worked for awhile. It was a trick I learned from a breeder. Now my boy knows that he gets mealworms every time he stands, but he won't correctly.

I have a Wyandotte hen that went broody, so I'm going to set some Serama eggs under her. My roo is a cocopop, so hopefully I get some pretty colors.

You can't feather sex Seramas. It only works on breeds with the fast feathering gene, which Seramas do not have. I tried it on my Serama chicks and it wasn't right.

Just thought I'd share a comparison photo of my boy Trojan and his dad, Trico. Trico and Trojan weren't bred by me, and I don't own Trico, but Trico has won a TT score of 76 and a yellow quality award. In a caged show, he won Best All Other Variety. Trojan has never been shown, but I'm hoping he...

You don't plan to keep them on wire like that forever, do you? It's super hard on their feet and judging from the way their toes are curled they don't like it much either.
