The upright, vertical stance is the essence of a serama...this is what we call 'type'...It is genetic, not something that is taught.

Genetically speaking, maybe/maybe not...but some are in appearance...here are some of my silkied's.

Wish I was close enough to go (sigh), but just too far for me. There is also another show in the same area this Sat...(Nov. 16) at Lawrenceburg, Tenn...if you are close enough to go, be sure and do it...It is the SCNA National and the entry for the Table Top show is 200+ serama...would love to...

SOONER CLASSIC--Traditional Table Top Serama Show was held last Sat. Oct. 26 at Keystone Lake, Oklahoma. We had a GREAT show....with people from several states and as far away as Alabama and New York. We had some really nice birds, the weather was good (50% chance of rain had been predicted)...

Birds come in all prices...shipping usually runs around $55 for box and postage, give or take a little. :)

A 'henny' rooster can have a 'henny head' (hen type) as well.

Yes, A serama rooster that is 'henny' feathered would have a short 'hen' type tail...

Yes, personalities are somewhat inherited....I don't handle or coddle my chicks at all (way too many). They're as wild as jack-rabbits until they reach a certain age, then they start developing personalities. I just do normal feeding and cleaning. At about 3 months, there are some that DEMAND...
