Hey Rachel, I am looking forward to see you at June show in SoCal. Hope you and yours significant other can make it.
Nice white cockerel you got there Anna!!!!!!!! He is a well balance bird.....
You are way ahead of me in the hatching dept.....I am still waiting for my hens to go broody. Hencubator is the best!!!!! Btw, I checked out yours website yesterday and I liked it.
Thanks for the compliment on my cocopop.......yes, I love the color too that is why I kind of over look on the type when I took on the project. My oh my, what a handsome cocopop you have there girl!!!!!!!! Where and when did you get him??????
Thanks Laingcroft...I am not sure but as he gets older his all the black turned brownish, he came out of my double laced cocopop silver duckwing project just like his nephew I posted underneath my 5 months old cocopop. I would of test him to see if he carries the chocolate recessive gene or not...
Chickenlover<3, here are some of my TRADITIONAL SERAMA boyz and girlz, these are all the offsprings from the 5 birds I started out with (cost me less then 400$).....I breed my bird to suit my taste cuz in the end I am the one who have to look at them every day.
Why do you think I do the vanilla caramel project???? It one of the crossing that I will be using to improve the type in my cocopop line later on. Chickenlover<3, I would be care full with what people tell you.....as for me, I am straight up front I don't have anything to hide or fabricate...
Well Chickenlover<3, you can say what ever you want......I spend less then 400$ on my flock and I am happy with where I am at right now. As for the color, everyone can make a cocopop but to have them breed true to the color take knowlege to do so. Let me ask you this, is the pair you got from...
Father & son........as much as I like my box of chocolates, I also like the challenge of making cookie cutters. With a few minor adjustments in my breeding program this yr, my cocopop should be ready to compete.
Son at 5 months old.
This is a full brother to the cockerel...
