haven't posted in awhile, but i have had 2 miracles, and a hard lesson learned- a bout with thread worm- the dang worm invisible in poop, will kill a bird if there is a bad infestation- in the last year was given 3 pairs from a friend downsizing- i should have realized something wasn't quite...
Welcome to the serama world! I keep mine inside in a guineapig cage- they were bred to be pets and crave human companionship- they also don't do well in extreme temps so inside is the way i treat mine- would love to see pics!
i know- been there- you could use it to be an example of how NOT to treat others new to a breed- love those birds you have - you have beautiful birds- the will never be a 'perfect' serama- its a goal- so you work with them- you have put your heart into them- try not to let their harsh attitude...
@nikki1496 one of the friendliest groups is here - link- some are shown some aren't but they can be great encouragers! Showing should be fun, some of the breeders i've seen forget that....:)

that isn't necessarily true, i have been told by breeders to use the birds you have, then you buy higher quality birds and breed them to upgrade the offspring- remember too, breeders are opinionated...LOL! And some breeders culls are leagues ahead of pet quality
x2
none of my seramas are kept outside- my personal preference- but especially silkieds and frizzles would be at risk with weather changes- and they are a meal just begging to be taken
