I'm much more worried about the tornado watch we are under. And from the chat on KSAT a tornado touchdown has been reported in Rio Medina.

Anyone have a boat? I'm flooded and have more heading my way! At least the dogs have fun mud wrestling.

You will need to find a good trainer. Dogs need to be taught how to do the equipment or they can be seriously injured. It takes about 2 years of training before you will be ready to compete.

Sorry I have been gone so long, I'm now training 6 days a week. Getting the dogs competition ready is hard! I also managed to hatched a pair of goslings and 11 ducklings who are in their new homes and doing well. Here are some updated photos of my gang. And finally some pics of my dogs...

Yes, and this seems to be helping my son gain confidence and get a handle on his temper, so it's worth it! But there is a lot of stuff that needs to be done before the dog sets foot in the ring. From training the dog to stand properly, to learning the right speed to move the dog at (and each...

The dogs are doing OK. My son and I have a lot to learn, but we are having fun.

Hey, we had a big 4 day dog show here in San Antonio on the 5, 6, 7, and 8, then a Siberian Husky specialty in Dallas last weekend. We have another show in Austin on the 11, and 12 of April. And that's just conformation, we are also gearing up for agility with one of our dogs and thinking of...

I went to a couple different places, before finally settling on the one I choose. Petsmart and PetCo training programs are worthless, and you have to make sure that training is always done as positive reinforcement only! I have seen trainers choke their dogs with choke chains, hit them, etc...

It's very full over here, 17 chickens, 2 roosters, 3 ducks, 1 drake, 6 geese, 1 gander, plus 6 large dogs, 1 outdoor cat, and 6 indoor cats (3 of whom I'm looking for homes for as they are rescues and I couldn't leave them to die), my 2 kids, my husband, and myself. I basically have a miniature...

Where did you get your Cayugas from? Are their eggs darker than mine? Part of me still wants some Swedish ducks, but I honestly don't have the room for them, so if you get some please post pics, I can enjoy yours from a distance, lol! I only have a few days with these babies, I only tried to...

My Cayugas lay a grayish blue egg, not the black I was told they would. But I got mine from Ideal hatchery, so they may not be "pure" though they look pure. Regardless, the eggs are pretty and stand out from white eggs nicely. The eggs are also tasty! I also love that my Cayuga drake isn't...

I also love Cayugas, I special ordered mine when I couldn't find them locally. I'm tempted to get a few more from somewhere else so I can add new blood and prevent inbreeding. But I don't need a lot, just 3 more hens so I'm waiting until I'm ready to order some other birds as well.

Thanks! Didn't I just see you on the duck thread? Or maybe the goose thread, but I saw you somewhere else. Lol!

I have my first hatch! I set some Cayuga duck eggs and have 2 beautiful babies out and 4 more eggs with pips/or clicking sounds! Here is baby 1, who hatched last night! Baby 2 is still wet and in the bator drying off! He/she hatched an hour or so ago!

Cool! I'm actually just outside the city limits myself! I have mixed chickens, and I currently have some Cayuga duck eggs and Chinese geese eggs in the bator. :fl for a good first try at hatching!

If anyone is looking for a pet cat, I have some spayed females needing homes. I caught Ivory after a duck of mine was killed by a tomcat. Instead of catching the killer I caught this grey tabby kitten! I named her Ivory after the duck, since the ducks death saved the kittens life. It seemed...
