    :weee Congratulations on your wife's approval! I'm sure those hens will win her over in no time. Your coop plans sound a bit small though. Each chicken requires 4 square feet of indoor space. If you are looking to acquire four hens, a coop with the dimensions you are mentioning will be too crowded.

    I placed an order through Meyer yesterday. My very first time ordering from a hatchery. I was able to order three, shipping is expensive, but it's worth it for me. They are suppose to be shipping in early April.

    Congratulations on the new additions! I have two dark brahma hens and they are the gentlest birds in my flock (the biggest too!). Brahmas are one of my favorite breeds. Good luck with them.
