    They make 12x12 egg shiping foam pads they're real nice cost about $3 a pad for 36 eggs and well worth it, fit in a 12x12x5 USPS large flat rate box 3 layers with a 1/2 inch foam pad on top makes 108 in teh box, the eggs cant really move and have plenty of protection.     If they are sleeping and pooping in the nest boxes then make the height of the next boxes shorter. This way they cannot stand in them and there for will not poop in them. they only need a small hole to sit in and chickens are private. They like something small an cozy to lay their eggs.

    I dont really have to worry about critters around here. If we start hearing them, and coyotes we thick last year, I just lock the dogs outside for the night. It usually takes a few weeks before we hear anything again.
