i know this isnt about chickens but i dont know where else to post this. i have to get rid of 2 rabbits. my wifes in school and we just dont have the time to take care of them properly with everything else we have going on. is anyone interested? i could supply a cage bottle and feeder for each one.
hey santa baby, youre not too far from the new egypt agway, they start getting birds in on march 1st i believe. if you check newegyptagway.com they will tell you what breeds they get on what dates. also the tractor supply neat you will order birds for you but i think you have to order a minimum...
wow, thats really late for that breed, it should be 5 or 6 months at the latest. i have heard that late bloomers lay longer so hopefully thats the case for you.
i'm looking at duckweed to cut my feed costs, it doubles in size every 24-72 hrs and is 52% protein. it can be found in almost any pond but it doesnt grow in winter. all you need is a fish pond or a few barrels to grow it in.
if you have a farm or livestock in general foxes and coyotes are a nuisance animal and can be trapped and disposed of anytime. no need to wait for the trapping season. just make sure you catch them on your own property
man stevo i would keep some traps out all the time. tractor supply has the no kill traps for about 35 bucks. alot cheaper than the hav-a-heart. if i was you i'd be making some fur coats.

foxes and coyotes are seen during the day alot more often this time of year. hunters tend to scare them out of the woods and theres also less food around.

if they are in a coup that small couldnt you try to bring them inside on a closed in porch or garage? they wouldnt even know you had them, you could wheel them out during the day when noise wont be noticed.
i was also wondering if anyone in nj has pilgrim geese, i really want to raise a few of them come spring. i'd be willing to pick up and pay for the eggs or trade chicken or fertile duck eggs
hope it works out, i was unable to find if its legal to keep birds where i'm at. however my birds are quieter than my neighbors dogs on both sides and behind me there fence is a half inch into my property when its suppose to be 6 inches away, there house also comes too close to the property...
