Sidhe I'm sorry your chick does not sound good :( I would get some ammprolium to rule out coccidia, it doesn't hurt to do as a preventative during these horribly wet months. They are incredible good at hiding their symptoms until it's too late

I had no idea cream legbar were hear either Luke and wondered what colour the eggs would be anf if they would hatch true to type but they were pretty good. They wouldn't give me any information about their breeding. I'll have to look up the breeder I bought them from, I wouldn't mind a few more...

These birds were bred from the birds left over/bought out from the uk breeding stock from the arpis1 failed import. Avgen the new company took the facility over and have new imports on the go and many more beautiful breeds will be hopefully coming here as well as ones to boost or gene pool :)...

Sorry to hear Satay, that's a pretty good innings though. Luke, Maize is a Wheaten dark olive egg layer so she gets her pea comb from the araucana in her :)

Yep she has a pea comb. I've bred some straight comb olive eggers from my cream legbar roo but it will be a few months yet to see what they produce

Teila and Luke they are beautiful photos :) Marans do have a reddish tone, it's not your eyes :) Here is an old pic I've posted before but you can see how red they are. And a few pics of one of my favourites Maize:)
