Yes. You must agree that when a 97 year old man dissappears for a long period without any given warning... That doesn't look good at all.

Okay, okay, nobody meant to 'drive off' Dr. Miller. It seems to me instead of bantering back and forth about who's fault it was, we should try to convince him of the truth, that there is interest in this topic. Agreed?

Thanks Dr. Miller. I now know how to figure out how closely related my birds are, and who it's safe to breed them to (keeping it lower than 12.5%). Thanks!

Dr. Miller - In a previous post, you listed the inbreeding coeffecients; I was just wondering, how fast does the coeffecient rise when you continue inbreeding i.e. if you breed together inbred siblings, how high would the coefficient be in the offspring, and, how fast does the coefficient...

You put alot of thought into your answer. And I do appreciate all the information. My thread, although it did accomplish it, wasn't meant as a mindless rant against a standard, but was more meant, like I said, as a warning to have priorities when breeding. Far too often I have seen breeders...

    Standard of Perfection

You asked for any SOP disagrements? There's a whole thread full of them, basically the polar oppostie of this thread -- not everything is against SOP, mostly the thread is a stressing warning of what will happen when an SOP is taken too seriously; it makes for about 30 minutes of an interesting...
