I'm pretty sure that most people using that term for what they are doing are really only referring to not adding extra humidity. I've never heard of anyone puposefully making the humidity close to zero. For instance, I have "dry incubated" before but that only meant I added no extra water...

I have been VERY interested in this thread. I'm saddened that you stopped, Mr. Miller. As for the physical SOP and what it contains, isn't that a bit off topic?
If you keep looking eventually you'll find an SOP at a reasonable price. I'm familiar with the offerings on Ebay and they are just way too much for the most part. I am not paying $40 or more for a 70 year old book when the new version is $60. The APA jealously guards it's SOP as a fundraiser...
Just a suggestion for those who cannot afford the Standard of Perfection. Look online and seek out old copies. I finally found a 1993 Standard with color plates for around $20 including shipping so now I am the proud owner of an older copy but I'm positive my breed of choice and most of the rest...
