    The only potential problem spots I see are easy fixes. The round dowel for your lamp clip is a high risk for swiveling down, causing the lamp to be deep into the brooder. That could be a fire hazard or create a heat issue for chicks. I'd recommend a 2x4 in place of the dowel if you have one...

    That's a great point. I hadn't noticed that, and ventilation is indeed critical. The volume of dust these little lovelies generate is remarkable!
