    MARYLAND THREAD!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Funky Feathers Fancy Poultry Farm is closed until 2016. Due to heavy predator losses and too much on my plate. We sold off the remaining birds back in May and tore down all the pens. In the meantime we will be rebuilding from scratch. I will still be a BYC member, but mostly...

Aw, don't let a few sour apples get you down. Some of us Marylanders (like me) are very nice people. :) Please stay, ignore the a**hats.

I was there too. I had 16 birds entered (Splash Cochins and Butterscotch Calls), and a vendor table outside. :)

Cochins are great broodies and mothers. They lay pretty good. I ship. But I hope to sell out this weekend at the show. Are you close to the Eastern Shore? I'm 30 miles South of Cambridge. Don't go to Dill's! That place is a hotbed for disease. You could lose your whole flock.

I have a lot of Splash Cochin bantam pairs to sell. I will be bringing them to the MD show in Frederick Nov. 2nd. Anyone interested?

It's Kim Arnold you want. They are there, just terribly understaffed. Craig Crotts is one of the testers. Keep calling Kim at 410-543-6610. I have Craig's contact info if you need it. :)

Some feed stores, like TSC do have ducklings, but not call ducks. Only Pekins, Khaki Campbells and Mallards.

Do you live in or near Scientists' Cliffs? That's my favorite vacation spot. :)

Wasn't trying to be mean, just trying to make sure people know what they are buying. If they just want pets, they will be fine. :)

    MARYLAND THREAD!

UGH, I wouldn't buy those. They look like cheap pet quality, huge ducks with long beaks. Not for breeding or showing anyway.

There are 2 ppl on eBay selling Blue Swedish eggs, and one person on BYC. Let me know if you want links to them.

Ah, Duckhouse Dogs. Her name is Candy. She has a ton of Calls, many colors mixed together. You may get some "mutts" (mixed-up colors), since her ducks all free range, so no show quality there. But the thought of getting some crested calls is very exciting. Good luck. I would definitely use a hen...

    MARYLAND THREAD!

Yeah, slip them under a broody cochin or silkie hen. BTW, if you are buying eggs on eBay, they probably won't be very good quality ducks.

Smart not to use eFowl. Here are some pics of my Butters:

I don't sell eggs. Sounds like you want cheap pet quality ducks. Good luck in your search.
