    MARYLAND THREAD!

I have some juvenile Jubilee Orpingtons available right now. They are 2.5 months. Trios are $100 plus actual shipping costs, or individual birds for $40. Of course I'm willing to meet you somewhere within reason as well. PM me if interested. They should be ready to lay starting this spring...

    MARYLAND THREAD!

Anyone looking for Jubilee Orpingtons? I've got a quad (3 hens and a roo) of 2.5 year olds that I'm looking to sell. I have a bunch of grow outs that are moving into my breeder pen to take the place of this group. If you can't have a roo, or just don't want him, I'll sell the hens separate. To...

    MARYLAND THREAD!

Anyone know what time heritage turkeys typically start to lay in Maryland? It's my first spring with turkeys and I'm getting impatient. I'm hoping they don't have a hidden nest or two that I'm not finding.

I'm looking for a coop for a new breeding group I'm getting. Does anyone have leads on a coop for $250 or less? I'm hoping to avoid building my own.

Last I checked he wasn't doing LO's, but it is possible that has changed.

    MARYLAND THREAD!

I'm in search of a Lavender Orpington hen or two... if anyone has any I am interested. Or, if you have some eggs I can borrow a bator and hatch. I am just hoping to increase my flock for spring and now's the time if I want them to lay early spring.

Yep, @GaryDean26 probably wouldn't mind I got in to the Cream Legbar game... it would give him a nice satellite flock, with the added bonus that he wouldn't have to pay for feed or eat up valuable space.

    MARYLAND THREAD!

I have not had problems keeping silkies with my other birds. Right now with the mix of birds I have, my silkie is #2 in the pecking order among hens and #3 if you count my roo. That said, I would never introduce one by herself. If you raise them together as chicks, not a problem. But, if you...

Do you mean Silkie? If so, I'll keep my eyes open. I have one, but all she is good for at this stage in her life is eating my chicken feed and pushing around the birds lower in the pecking order. Best of luck with your 4 little ones... what kind did you end up getting? It is always an...

I have some Golden Reds (Golden Comets) available for $12 per pullet (hen) ($10 if buy 5 or more). They are 20 weeks old, some are laying some haven't started yet. These ladies will usually lay 6 out of 7 days (300+ eggs per year). They lay a nice large brown egg. If you are interested, I...

I would love to be a fly on the wall at a neighbors house once they've been out a week or so! Those guys are not quiet in the least... they would leave anyone begging for a nice quiet rooster. I also have little sympathy for those who move next to a working farm and then complain about the...

I would not feel bad about giving them a lecture about free ranging their fox. Wild animals are legally the property of the state... It's a losing legal argument, but if you were super technical, the fox is trespassing on your land and the state should be held liable for the damages it inflicts...

Do you have something specific you are looking for? Do you want layers or meat birds? Do you want pure breed or are barn yard mixes OK? I can get a lot of things around here, but I need to know what you are hoping to find before I can give good recommendations. @DCchicken has a fair...

@res is correct. They only make their own scratch as far as poultry feed goes. Blue Seal is what I get from them for poultry feed. I also use their Beef 13 mixed with some loose grain for my goats to get to the higher protein needed for goats.
