Thought I'd give a little update on Rodney's frost bitten comb. After applying 2 or 3 good coats of castor oil I think his comb is looking a lot better. Just a few white/yellowish tips that he'll likely lose, but no infection and his comb has bounced back really good from what it was ...

Exactly the same thing here, Bee. During the cold snap I got 13 one day from 13 girls. The last day or so warmed up and I was back to 7 out of 13 girls... So strange how that works. One would think it would be just the opposite.

I do believe the CO has worked wonders for Rodney and I'm gonna give him another good slather before the temps drop again !

Hi Bee... Rod's comb is no worse for the wear. His tips are pretty much all yellow now and I see he has lost one tip near the back of his comb. He has had no further frostbite damage in this latest bout of cold weather so I think that CO is doing the trick. He'll likely lose most of his tips...
