Well with the big that my chicken/duck coop has turned into she could've found and eaten anything down there! I most certainly hope she hasn't, but we shall see. Just wish it would hurry up and warm up so that the ground hardens, my poor chickens keeps sinking!

I'm not sure it is something that you can make a hen do. I know some breeds are more broody than others, especially silkies! I've only ever had one of my hens go broody, a dark Sussex. All my other chicks I hatched myself with an incubator and brooder.
