Congrats on your first eggs :-) sounds like you have your hands full with all those animals!
I'm new to chicken-keeping, just hatched out a few bantams with the kids in June and some of them started laying recently. I'd love to hatch a few more to be honest...

Oh no warriorgal- it's so hard saying goodbye to part of the gang...I still miss our boys now and the little flock seems completely different. Really hope you can find them a nice home...I guess we're getting to a time of year where it...
Haha, I've no idea really but when I had my 3 boys, they would only seem to go after the girls...I never saw them trying it on with each other ;) will be interesting to see how it goes with popcorn :pop

Aw no help really but do you think he could be having a bit of a teenage stage? Maybe he doesn't quite know what he wants? He's not looking sad or poorly in himself at all? Have to hope some of thise silkies are ladies for him ;)
Yep all set here too...had a slightly fragile weekend after Xmas party night lol but much better now thankfully.
Still no eggs!! Raked out under the hedge again today just in case...no sign. The Pekins have been very red in the face for ages now and the marans just this week have been as well...
