Hot here, so I deep watered the squash plants, left the hose on trickle for about 10-15 minutes per plant. Each of the tomato plants got about a gallon of water, and I left the hose running on trickle in the beans bed while I did other things.

I wonder if they sprayed Round Up?
There's glyphosate in the foods we eat, so many of us are sensitized and display allergic symptoms to the slightest exposure to Round Up.
I read to prevent squirrels from digging up your tulips put a small section of chicken wire on top of the soil after planting. The tulip leaves will grow through the fencing openings, but squirrels can't dig through. I've never tried it but it makes sense.
Box turtles are declining here, so I am happy whenever I see one in the yard. They don't breed for several years, and easily get killed by cars, so their lowered population is understandable.
I think the plant with white flowers is chickweed.
Marigolds self sow here. I leave the dead plants in the ground after a killing frost, and what the birds don't eat, grows the next Spring. I don't mind.
