I agree! Bought my incubator last year and hatched my first chicks. It's very stressful but lots of fun! Teaches patience! I have eggs in it now, and a few under broody hens that should hatch tomorrow for Easter. Fingers crossed!

Just have to share my darling new arrivals... Ordered eggs off of eBay for a broody hen. Black Tailed Buff Japanese Bantams. They're so tiny!!

I'm excited! One of my bantam Cochins has just gone broody a couple of days ago, so I might try to find her a couple of fertile eggs too. :)

1 Blue Cochin, 2 Lavendar Orpingtons, 1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, 1 Welsummer, 1 Black Sumatra. All females (fingers crossed!). I like variety. :)

I got a Brinsea octagon. Pretty good reviews. Since I'm a complete rookie at this i wanted something that seems fairly easy.
