Lol. I was reading a little, where I stopped coming in the chat. Yeah I ended up culling my babies. I was upset for a while about that. Started this week to get ready to incubate. Hope I have better luck this time around
Hi Sally, I have been away for more than a year. I am so sorry to hear that you have been sick. Hope you're better. I have really missed incubating and just started again yesterday. Wao, I really miss this chat
My trip to the vet today was good and bad.
Good: my chickens didn't have any parasites nor fleas, ticks or anything.
Bad: it did look sick, and we still have no clue of what it might be.
I had to sacrifice one so they can preforme Obtopsy on it. Sorry guys it's another way they call it for...
way too many. Almost 75% of what I hatch dies between 1 week to a month. Big chickens not really but running nose on a few which was cured with antibiotics. I don't know, but I can't be doing the brooder so wrong that I loose chicks.
My friends and family thinks I'm crazy. Maybe I am. But my gut tells me I have a problem with my flock. So I made an appointment with a vet. I'm talking some of my chickens to the doctor. :lau
You guys would understand.
By the way Sally the three samaras that hatched passed away. Hope the...
I'm having the same problem here. I don't understand why. I have humidity at 60 to 75 maybe that's the problem. Yet the ones that do hatch I also have problems keeping them alive.
So frustrated already lost 2 of the samaras and one of the polish.
What on earth am I doing wrong.
So the weather last night was a killer. No matter how much I tried to keep my chicks covered and warm with heat lamps, the wind knocked off the sheet of wood and they all got wet. 20 plus died. :( ironically I checked in the middle of the storm at about 3 am and they were all good. I'm so...
Sally I'm so excited one of the six hatch. But the one you wrote on I tried assisting (thinking it was dead)has a sticky water covering it. I can't see where the head is, and am afraid of it drowning or if I help I can harm it. What should I do. Ozzzzzz help.
OK so I guess I have two diseases. Lucky they are separated. The 4 week old bloody and young running nose. My question is after they are all good can I add them to the flock, and if so when?
