I can attest to that! Had a bunch of turkey eggs and could remember when I put them in the bator -forgot to add to my calendar- but I put them in the hatcher and so far last 2 days 6 have hatched surprised the heck outta me when I opened the bator to see 3 little cuties peeping at me!
Fabulously interesting !!! Go oz! Will be getting my Wild West chicken ranch built so no more chicken mutts or dead floaters and seperate breed pens FINALLY! Hope by end of march they will be moved in.
So 7 babies total with last being assisted due to membranes sticking but so far all ok will leave them until the last one drys out then move them to the brooder
none that I can see
tried to candle a few but Brinsea is difficult to lift and replace easily. unlike my styrobators...but I will try and candle again in a bit. Just really bummed about not turning up the humidity like I should have. in my styrobators I never kept the humidity up above 50%...
Well I just figured out my problem...I should have had the RH% up to 65% for hatching...hopefully they are not all shrink wrapped...
I will give it another day or so and see what happens! can't believe I could be so dumb...the styrobators I'm used to and this was a rookie mistake! oh well...
So anyone have experience with the brinsea incubators? I'm on day 22 and no pips yet. Just wondering if I should worry. I turned up the heat to 100 and up. The humidity from 45 to 50% but this is the first time I've used it so not familiar with it
Mutts! not sure if they are cuckoo maran/WPR mix or pure? LOL and some other mutts SF/NHR/Del cross since I have roos and hens all together. should be interesting stuff
Hi Sally! well I've gone and done it again. My girls started laying again and I've been collecting for what?...you guessed ...HATCHING!
I gave up on hatching after losing many of my birds last year and I just couldn't bring myself to do it again. Mostly because I was exhausted and ****** off...
