You don't like the faverolles huh? That's one breed I was considering getting but I think my big girls would be too overbearing. I LOVE cochins though, and one of my founding girls is an EE and I love her :)

Just sold the babies tonight and I CRIED. Oh my goodness, haha I'm such a wuss! I think it was because they were my first incubator babies AND they were from my own flock so I was pretty attached. Hopefully the next batch will be easier ;)

Haha no way! That's awesome. I'd love to work in micro and heme, but not on the midnight shift :P

Micro has always been my favorite, followed by heme. I was told by everyone during my internship that I should start out as a generalist for the first 5 years just to keep everything fresh. If I had my way I'd do micro all the time though :)

Too late, I already rinsed it off. Poor thing is TIRED. He tried to hatch for two hours but hadn't zipped all the way AND he was in one of the thick-shelled eggs.

Ok so this boy hatched with a bit of yolk left outside and some meconium (poop) on it. Do I need to rinse the poop off? I don't want it to get inside his abdominal cavity.

Yes the cam is up and Fluffy, PeeWee, Allie (Allawishous/Optimus Prime), and Clara are pipped now. She was wet when she hatched though, maybe when I took her out to pull the goop off her back she dried and hardened. Either way she's fluffing up now that she's trying to preen :)
