I didn't see your post about fly control. I'll have to back read. All I saw was the picture of the can trap. I'll have to try a few things and see what works for me I guess.

@Miss Lydia and anyone else.... do you have personal experience with using fly preds? Seems a bit to have to repurchase every month... I'm thinking maybe the traffic would be a better route for me I only have 8 ducks....and the only place to fly seem to be a problem is in and around theIt...

Tooo late. I've trampled into that territory in only 7wks. I simply can't get enough of my ducks. Especially my cuddle duck GreyFeather. He's the house duck in my flock of 8. If you scroll up you can see a photo of us as he had woke me to go out and play with his friends. I spend hours...

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope y'all had a good weekend and Mother's day! I've been busy tending to my flock. I decided it was terrible that lil evil Lamont can't get into the pool with his friends. He tries to jump in but can't make it over the side. He sadly runs around the pool dipping...

So lucky you get to have your own hatchlings. Due to an accident earlier this year, before I knew about BYC and was still "green" he ended up losing are male and female Rowans. we would have had our own babies by now. not too bad though, we now have 8 wonderful ducklings we got from TSC...

Thanks. I just want to make sure I give the proper amounts and not overdose. Off topic -sorta- since BY has proven a bit hard to find, my dad went in search but only found Nutritional yeast. Is there a difference? If so what are they?

About my wobbly duck I've got some videos if it would help anyone identify his problem. Also, since I'm bringing two back inside; given the ones ailment, their age and rising temperature outside... do I still need to use a heat lamp? They're 5/6wks. According to what I've read 75° is about...

Thanks first the advice. I of course wasn't planning on using both Brewer yeast and niacin. I just figured that using it in water instead of food would be easier to mix properly for the whole flock. Especially considering they have separate drinking and swimming water. As for the two I'm...

I've got 8, mixed breeds and ages who all live in the same run. They aren't BY tabs, it's powder. I'm going to bring wobbles and his best bud inside for a while. Wobbles is used to being inside anyway, as he's my cuddle duck. If I'm using one of these feeders..... (greyfeather aka...

@Miss Lydia Thanks for always helping!!! I have powered BY. Suggested human usage is: 2Tbsp daily. How would I dose my baby with wobbles? What's the best way to assure he's getting enough and proper amount?

Just one tsp is enough for all of them? The niacin usage is quite a bit higher. Is it horrible if one of their water buckets looks mucky? They go through probably 2+gal of drinking water a day. Got the wrong niacin I plan to stop using the niacin I've got, and use up the Brewer...

Since I've got 8 ducks I figured it would be easier to add it to their drinking water. We have separate buckets just for drinking so the water stays cleaner longer.
