I guess the reason I used veg oil.. I thought it wouldn't hurt eggs.. but I guess if I'm careful about cleaning up.. I'll try the 3n1 oil.. I had no idea wd40 would gum up too..

I did it before I put eggs in. It generally last the 21 days. Towards end it will start to make some noise. I thought if I used wd40 if a drop or 2 was to drop down while eggs was in there it might not be good idea.. maybe that's just my inexperienced opinion. Maybe it wouldn't matter.. I...

Your right about stagered hatches.. I could make a enclosed incubator 3 sets of racks. .and a hatcher on top with viewing windows. Thats seperate but mounted on top..Enough room for 1 batch per week.

Do you have to have a seperate hatcher? Could you put a hatching drawer on bottom. . How would you regulate humidity in the drawer without affecting the rest of incubator?
