Had a hawk attack on Saturday. Neighbor saw it swoop for one of my hens with chicks. Hen covered the chicks and stayed where she was. Then my army of roosters swarmed the hawk. All chickens fine and hawk flew away. So glad I have lots of responsible roosters.- NagemTX

They don't belong to me and the owner let's them roam the neighborhood. They spend alot of time here because I feed outside the pen when free-rangeing my chickens. I free-range them every day.- NagemTX

My part time peacocks! They even go in the coops. The chickens used to alarm when that happened but now they don't. They where on the front porch the other day and all the cats got super poofy. 🤣- NagemTX

Sorry for the losses. I know that feeling as well. Same thing thinking it was eggs laying noise but it turned out a dog got in my fence from the neighbors and was chasing the chickens and killing them. Only lost three from the incident but I've been hyper aware ever sence and check at every...- NagemTX

Yup gona be cold here as well. Just put up extra wind blocking tarps, filled all the feeders and waters. Hope the wind stays out of the north because thats the side all my wind blocks are on.- NagemTX
