Obvi we don't have those this far east, but we do get orioles, which have a similar appearance.

I put up two humm'bird feeders yesterday. And I heard a whippoorwill a few nights ago.

In the Jemez Springs/ Fenton Lake area of New Mexico, there are/ were wild turkeys with splashes of white, descended from domestics that escaped from a local rancher in the area. I saw some in about 1981, I don't know if they're still up there and I don't remember hearing when the original white...
