Very cute! How do you tell the girls from the boys?

Well here are some pics of the chicks that turned out to be mixed breed. I have 14 now, no internal pips on the 2 remaining eggs in the bator so I think my hatch is done.

8 chicks out so far and most of them seem to be black. Definitely not the color of Swedish Flower hen chicks! I guess my in-laws were wrong when they told me this rooster was hatched from my eggs last year😂 Oh well, they are cute little barnyard mixes I guess! I will post pics when they are in...

Put 16 Swedish Flower eggs in lockdown, a couple of the air cells are drawn down and they look ready to go. 2 more days till hatch!

Tossed 1 clear, 1 cracked and 5 quitters, so I have 17 Swedish Flower eggs still left, due to hatch April 30. I threw some Cream Legbar eggs in too, due to hatch May 6.

Well the eggs are in! I set 24 Swedish Flower eggs from my own flock. My beautiful rooster that I had last year died, and the boy I have now is pretty meh, so hopefully I will hatch a better looking guy this year.

Got a bunch of eggs collected from my flock so I am going to fire up the incubator and put them in soon. Lost quite a few hens last year to the fox so I am looking forward to hatching again.
