    Nutritional Yeast vs Brewer's Yeast

Rouens and KC do not need as much niacin as other heavyweight breeds. I think you will be fine using just the duck feed.

    Nutritional Yeast vs Brewer's Yeast

Yes, but no. The niacin requirement for a Pekin is around 70mg/kg, all the way up until there ten weeks then it drops down to 55mg/kg. All Flock Feed contains 55mg/kg, so that said, if he's above ten weeks he shouldn't need supplementation, but occasionally sprinkling some nutritional yeast...

    Nutritional Yeast vs Brewer's Yeast

Well, from what I could find, most livestock yeasts available tend to be low in niacin. If you're looking for a preventative niacin supplement, any nutritional yeast brand, or B3 powder/liquid would suffice. B3 powder will be more cost-effective, as its more potent, and requires little amounts.

That's fine. I do see some that are only at 35/kg, but some do range very high, it seems to depend on the Brand and whatever species it's intended for.

Gamebird starter is intended to be fed to Gamebirds, I'm not saying it can't be fed to waterfowl, I know some do, but you might want to contact the company and ask for the niacin content per kilo. I tried searching a niacin estimate, but it seems it greatly varies with the brand and species...

    Nutritional Yeast vs Brewer's Yeast

Yes, Livestock Yeast generally contains less niacin than other brands. I believe livestock yeast is something like 2mg per coop, other humans brands 5mg per scoop.

So per the company’s website, each scoop contains around 2mg, now they recommend giving birds a half a scoop, so the niacin content would be 1mg per scoop. Which is not much at all.

    Nutritional Yeast vs Brewer's Yeast

Information on various sites pertaining to the treatment and prevention of niacin deficiency in ducks often states that brewers yeast is a suitable niacin supplement, and can be used alone to treat niacin problems. Lately, this claim has been questioned when we've had several members...
