If you're going to put it in their food, I'd recommend brewer's yeast. It's a lot harder for them to get too much of it. 100-150mg per gallon is correct, though.
Goats are fun, we had them when I was a kid. A bear got them, though.
I didn't used to like geese, but I'm thinking that when we get some property where I actually have some room I will get a pair.
NICE! I would have driven to get mine if I could have. I hate the thought of them in their little box in the mail. I didn't want to get them from the feed store because who knows what kind of mix and match ducks they have, plus I wanted girls and not boys. I MAY get a single drake at some point...

Yes, keeping a bowl of grit where they can get to it is a good thing, especially if they're not free-ranging.
I've been giving mine cracked corn for extra winter calories. Is oatmeal better, or just different? I know they like oatmeal, it's what I was feeding them over the fence before we adopted them.
I haven't been able to get my mallards to try ANYTHING except their pellets and cracked corn. Nothing seemed to appeal to them at all.
Then I tried peas.
It's hysterical watching them. They're not quite sure how to eat them, but they're going crazy for them. I think I may have found the...
