Lethargic chick not lifting her head easily

She flew out of the bin, apparently trying to find the chicken noises I was playing for her. If she's got that much energy, she's going back outside. I put a tag on her and I'll give her the other dose tomorrow.

Lethargic chick not lifting her head easily

I really appreciate your help. I wasn't expecting her to last the night. It's obvious that her eyesight has improved, since she's no longer trying to find the edge of the food bowl with her beak. Maybe she was just so miserable that she couldn't focus.

Yeah. I didn't think it would happen that fast. Her head is up, she's scratching, and both eating and drinking. I'll give her the second dose tonight and keep her inside until I'm sure. I just changed the water for the other birds.

How long before I know if corid is working? She perked up within minutes after her dose.

She has been drenched. Thanks. I dumped out her vit B water (a crumb of a crushed tablet).

Lethargic chick not lifting her head easily

She found the water--her beak bumped it when she got up from eating. She drank a little and went back to sleep.

Lethargic chick not lifting her head easily

I think she may be blind. Doesn't respond to movement on either side, although she does respond to sound and touch. Eyes look normal. This would explain why she was unable to get to food and water through the mob of her siblings, why she ate so hungrilly when I brought her in, and why she...

Lethargic chick not lifting her head easily

She's drinking! Poop still looks normal. She started eating while I was outside this morning, so I don’t know whether her crop emptied.

Lethargic chick not lifting her head easily

I hope her crop clears out tonight. She's spent most of the day eating but I haven't seen her drink without assistance. She's still pretty weak but a few minutes ago she tried scratching, so that's some kind of improvement. I put a hint of vit B in her water and fed her a little in a syringe...

Lethargic chick not lifting her head easily

I noticed one of the Marans chicks was lethargic yesterday, lying down when just about everyone else was running around. She didn't come out of their heated shelter this morning so I brought her in. She seems to be walking just fine, eyes are clear, but her head drops to the ground like it's...
