Mine was sooooo gooey that it looked like someone took a full bottle of glue and put him in it. It was all over and not just a few spots. That's why I resorted to using the sink and gently washing him.

I named my baby that had a start similar to this one Miracle. I thought for sure it was a goner and took forever to hatch with me helping it out. Congratulations on it making it out fine. I thought it would. I had a lot of faith in it surviving just fine.

Sure looks like that is the yolk sac. I had one that came out on a clean paper towel in a home made incubator with the whole egg sac outside of its body. It absorbed it in about 4 hours and was perfectly fine.

I have. I had one that I thought would never come out of the shell and it lived just fine. My incubator was not the correct temperature evidently and if I remember right it was around 32 days. Hang in there, I think things will be alright for this little guy.
