I like the way the one on their web page is set up I don't know how high off the floor it is I bet if you contacted them they would be happy to help. I forgot to put my 10.00 off code in and contacted them the next day and they went ahead a refunded me the 10 very nice folks to work with. Let...
I may breakdown if it gets below 20 but see problem is if we get them used to the warmth and lose power Happened here and we were without power for close to a week. We did buy a generator after that experience though
Mine is coming tomorrow too. I can't remember was it 6" off the floor? it will say with the instructions. I got the side mount too. I won't be using it though unless we get that ridiculously frigid temps like last week.
That link I gave you a friend sent me and that company is in Canada here is the best price here in the USA

The larger ones can be hung up so that way they would shove each other out from under it. Or maybe not. ;) I have a small one in my Muscovy coop with 3 Muscovy mine can be hung or mounted I have it mounted. It's about 6-8" above the shavings.
That's a good idea to buy frozen corn and warm it in hot water before feeding I always buy dry . My Muscovy don't care for snow and the single digits we're having right now they are spending a lot of time in their house .
My ducks love whole corn i just don't buy it anymore becasue it is hard to find NON GMO. Did you try adding some to their feed and see if they would eat any that way?
Only suggestion I can give is to make a temp fence pen around the front of their coop so they have to stay close to their coop...
