I have had bad teenage pullet moms that were better as adult hens. My bad broody turkeys were given 3 and 2 chances. The 3rd time is the charm.

Bad broody makes good soup too. I usually have bad turkey broodies, but I have found people that just want a hen for their tom. So I sell with full disclosure.

Sorry for your loss Coyotes can jump and grab the top of a 6 ft fence. A floppy top so they end up back where they came from helps
