that much? I like to give them boiled egg but to be honest I don't how good it is but if from those nutrients a chick will hatch that means is very good! Thank you.
OK I thought you saw blood on vent and didn't know where it came from And u just figured they were picking each other, welll thats clear now so check on the pellets u are giving them maybe that's causing diarrhea and they're dying because of dehydration. Are the ones you have now still with...
they might be bleeding from the vent because they have coccidiosis, when other chickens smells blood start pecking them make you think they are making them bleed.
usually i used to breed mine up to 4 but that old hen was my best hen ever so i will breed her to get my breeders, and the 8 year old i just nature do her part. Thats the only reason i had done it with those 2, usually you don't get the quality, but you can do it to keep the genes.
he's nice, that color is very popular here, also Brazilians but they add more old gamefowl spanish in it but look like yours maybe not as upright position ( some do) and with 4 - 5 lbs of weight. i'm sure yours is more than 8 lbs!
no she's not two. I wish. Last year one of my favorites hen die. She was twelve and still laying eggs not as much she used to but not bad for a Brazilian type hen 6 months before she die hatch her last batch of eggs. I guess i just like to take care of my chickens.
Thanks, she 8 years old.! Only lays like 2 batches of eggs a year, 1 every 3 or 4 days until she lays like five and gets broody (but i dont let her, i don't want her to die) and then she lays very similar few months later and stops for molting.
