Okay, the Red JungleFowl/Sumatra chick has hatched. It's black, & pea combed like it's mom, so not quite sure who the dad is yet.

Girls with attitude.

The Blue Face/Oriental Cross laid this monster today in front of me. She can't just lay one sized egg. She's given me large, jumbo, & this Colossal.

I've got the eggs under my broody Fibro Easter Egger Hen. She's got a total of ten. Some are just some randoms, plus Test hatch/Project eggs.

Went ahead, & collected an egg from Maximus's mother anyway for the heck of it. Was curious to see who she was fertilized by. I did pair her with her son now that she's laying eggs again.

I did end up grabbing an egg from my project pullet. Gonna see if she was fertilized by the project boy, Red JungleFowl, or possibly the dad of my boy Maximus.

Maximus's mother is looking like she's gonna lay an egg today. I won't collect this one for hatching, but will collect the next after breeding her back to her son.

Got another Red JungleFowl egg for hatching.

I also have an egg from one of my Blue Face Hatch hens, her's is a test hatch as well, to see who was the father. May end up grabbing a couple more eggs from her, & the JungleFowl hen though.

I do eventually wanna add other colors to these after I get them established. I did gather a Red JungleFowl egg to replace a Red JungleFowl hen I culled due to issues she had. Hopefully it is a female that hatches, & is pure. But if it were fathered by my project stag, it'll probably move...

Will collect their eggs after my experimental meat birds hatch once I get them set.

Thinking on probably giving up on the forced molt with these guys for now. Seems like a fail now that the pullet accidentally broke the egg she laid in the pen yesterday, & ended up eating it. Hard to limit certain nutrients when something like that happens.
