In Japan, Shamo just basically means Gamefowl.
There are O Shamo and Chu Shamo, which are different weight classes of the large fowl Shamo. These are what are probably most like what we call the 'Shamo' breed here. Then there are Nankin Shamo, which are the bantam Shamo.

They're true bantams - not related to the big Shamos :) There ARE bantam Shamos, that are actually small versions of the large Shamos.
I only bring this up because I once had a judge at an actual sanctioned poultry show not pay attention, judge my Ko as a bantam Shamo, and DQ her for her split...
I'll be interested to see how it turns out :) I love oriental games (I have Ko Shamos myself) and have always been curious about the Parrot Beak Aseels.
